congratulations to the gb junior team of anthony harding, lucas thomson , yasmin harper and ben cutmore who won gold in the team event at the 22nd fina world junior diving championships in kiev! what an outstanding achievement for lucas, coach jen leeming and the team. well done great britain, world junior mixed team diving champions! the national skills finals were held in manchester this weekend! huge congratulations to alec wragg taking silver in the boys group d2 event. some awesome dives were seen from the girls group e event with isla finishing 6th and scarlet 15th. the girls group d1 event finished with gemma in 12th, katie in 13th, halle in 14th and freya in 22nd in a very competitive event with 34 divers! massive congratulations to our national skills champions, anna noake winning gold in the girls c2 event and to summer ross winning gold in the girls group d2 event which had a total of 47 divers! well done also to annabel for coming 4th in the girls c2 event just missing out on a bronze medal by less than 2 points and to ross placing 8th in his boys c1 event! fabulous diving all round from our edc team, you did amazing and made us so proud! edc international competition:- many congratulations to lewis thomas, caitlyn lumsden, madeleine finlay, lachlan stark and ellen gillespie who travelled out to barcelona for the edc international competition at the the piscina minicipal de montjuic. a stunning venue with some stunning dives in a tough competition with some long days in the hot summer sunshine. well done to you all and to lewis for bringing home a bronze medal in the boys group c platform event. fina grand prix #3 bolzano:- huge congrats to gemma mcarthur, james heatly and lucas thomson who represented gb at the fina grand prix #3 in bolzano, italy. gemma had an outstanding competition bringing home a hat-trick of medals in all of her events. bronze in womens 10m platform individual, silver in mixed 10m platform synchro with partner lucas thomson and silver in the womens 10m synchro competition with leeds diver ruby bower. a fantastic achievement for gemma who joined edc earlier this year. james and lucas also won an amazing silver in their men's 10m platform event. well done to you all! national age group competition:- well done to all divers who competed in the national age group competition in sheffield. well done to rayne hamilton with gold in 1m boys group d event and jamie mcconnell with bronze in the 3m group b event. well done also to katy stephen, eilidh white, eddie gladstone-wallace, ben sharman and callum peace who did so well in their events! many thanks to the coaches and chaperones for their help and support! len european junior championships:- well done to lucas thomson and coach jen leeming at the len european junior championships held in helsinki, finland! lucas's debut international junior competition saw him win a hat-trick of medals, bronze in the team event partnering with victoria vincent in 3m mixed synchro; bronze in the 10m platform synchro event with plymouth diver aidan heslop and a gripping 10m platform individual performance winning silver . lucas was 10 points ahead after throwing some awesome requireds in the preliminary round and managed to claw his way back into 2nd place after dropping a dive in the final! a breathtaking performance and tremendous coaching from jen! thanks also to vicki tomlinson selected by len european aquatics to judge at this event. congratulations also to all divers that competed in the sasa level 2 event in dundee. medalists include:- halle (gold), isla (silver) and katie (bronze) in the 8-10 girls; josh (gold) and woody (bronze) in the 8-10 boys; annabel (gold) and anna (silver) in the 11-13 girls; ross (silver) and chris (bronze) in the 11-13 boys and hunter (gold) in the 14-18 boys. welcome... this is the website of the . the club is based at the royal commonwealth pool in edinburgh . the club conducts coaching and competition for springboard and highboard diving at all levels of ability from novice to international. the club was constituted in 1971 following the construction and opening of the royal commonwealth pool for the commonwealth games in 1970. since that time, many further international, len and fina diving meets have been staged in edinburgh with club members playing key event management roles. the club has been the mainstay of sasa diving teams since the 1980s and some of its divers and officials have been included in gb teams. follow the links to discover more about the club's past, present and forthcoming activities. our club contacts, documents and policies can be viewed here! for all general enquiries about edinburgh leisure / the learn to dive programme of , please contact [email protected] coming up ... 2018 european championships - the diving pool will be closed from the 21st july to the 16th august as the royal commonwealth pool prepares for the european championships 2018. good luck to james heatly who will be competing in the team event on monday 6th august 11.45am - 1.30pm and the 1m springboard prelminary event on the 7th august 9.15 - 11.45am. edc will be cheering you on to the final. the finals start at 1.15pm that day and include :- womens 10m synchronised final mens 1m springboard final womens 10m synchronised medal ceremony mens 1m springboard medal ceremony congratulations ... they've done it... diving team scotland gold coast 2018! many, many congratulations to james heatly whose exceptional performance won him bronze in the 1m springboard event at the commonwealth games. this was a very emotional moment for james as he accepted the medal and dedicated it to his late grandfather, sir peter heatly, who won the last scottish medal at the commonwealth games 60 years ago. previous member of the club grace reid went on to win a gold medal and achieved a personal best score in her 1m springboard event. her performance was utterly breathtaking. grace's name will also go down in history as being the first ever women in scottish diving to win a medal at a commonwealth games! what a night it was and to hear the flower of scotland being sung at the optus aquatic centre was incredible. gemma mcarthur had a brilliant competition in her 10m platform event making it through to the final and performing some exceptional dives during a very windy and gusty evening. lucas thomson and james performed well in their 10m platform synchro final coming 5th in this event. lucas had a succesful competition in the 1m springboard event coming 12th in the final and then went on to compete in the 10m individual platform and performed exceptionally well exceeding all expectations coming 5th overall in the final. well done to you all, england talent - zone squad diving selections 2017/2018 england talent have been working in alignment with scottish swimming to deliver training camps for both english and scottish athletes. many congratulations to chloe sinclair, rayne hamilton and lachlan stark for selection into the english talent team z for the 2017-2018 season. camp dates have been updated on the competition calendar. competition calendar updates :- scottish national and open championships diving event has been announced and will take place in edinburgh 29th november to the 2nd december 2018. © 2007-20
